Laundry Room Makeover Under $250

Updated: Sep 13, 2020

For the past few years, I have been toying with the idea of doing a quick and easy makeover on my upstairs laundry room. So, since I've been home a lot lately, I finally decided to pull the trigger and get it done. Here's what my laundry room looked like before the makeover.

The first item I had to fix was the tile flooring. It was so dark and the small tiles just looked weird. So, I did some research and decided to go with a quick fix that wouldn't cost a lot and was easy enough for me or my husband to do on our own. That's when I found Floorpops peel and stick tiles. I bought six boxes but the website link I included below will give you the opportunity to add in your measurements to make sure you buy just enough for your space. Plus they do have other patterns available too.

If you're wondering how the floor looks completed here it is! So far it's pretty easy to clean and sticks great. The room looked so much brighter just with that quick change.

Then I decided that I needed to add a board to my washer and dryer to help with folding and honestly it makes the washer and dryer look nicer. Instead of staining or making it from scratch, I got the board from Ikea. It's the Linnmon tabletop at 59'. They do come in other colors but I chose white.

After adding those items to the room, I decided it would be fun to paint the current cabinets a brighter gray. We used Behr Premium Cabinet and Trim Enamel in Ellie Gray. I only bought one gallon and that was enough for the interior trim and all the cabinet doors.

Then before it was complete, I added a few accessories, which I listed below.

The total of how much I spent was $240!! Can't wait to use it now.
