Since the pandemic hit, it seems as if everyone has gravitated towards working out at home and especially riding their Peloton. For us, as moms, it's important to stay active but more so the Peloton has given us the opportunity for "me time" to destress after a long day.
Here are some of the benefits we have seen when using our bikes:
It's helped us tremendously when it comes to reducing our anxiety and everyday stress. This pandemic hasn't been easy on anyone, especially moms, so the bike has been a great way to decompress and unwind after a long day.
As a pregnant mom, Peloton also offers workouts that are safe during pregnancy, which I, (Krys) have loved. Here's a link to some of my favorites.
Staying active and working out, even if it's for 15-20 mins a day, has given a great example to our girls. Our two oldest Annemarie and Sofia are always wanting to workout with mommy after seeing us ride the bike or participate in one of the classes on the app. Here's an article to family fun classes your little ones can join in on!
We've seen that after we started riding our bikes more actively it has also become something we have enjoyed doing with our significant others. Our husbands have also started riding and using the Peloton app too! This fun article shares 5 reasons why you should work out together.
It has helped us grow a mom community that has held us and each other accountable. Over at Bambina Diaries, we started a group called #pelotonbambinas or #teambambina where we share our favorite rides, instructors and cheer each other on in this journey to stay active and be healthy - physically, but most importantly mentally.
Even if you don't own a Peloton bike it's still ok. The app offers a variety of workouts on or off the bike for every workout level.
