A Quick and Easy Meal in Half the Time with Barber Foods

Updated: Dec 2, 2021

This post is sponsored by Tyson Foods, Inc. The opinions and text are all mine.

School is officially in session for many across the country, which means families like mine are planning their meals ahead of time. For many of us, by the time we arrive from work and pick up the kids, there isn't much time left to prepare a meal. That's where Barber Foods comes in!

Before the first week of school, I decided to sit and start meal planning for the week ahead. Now, if you’ve ever made a meal plan before you know it's not easy when kids are involved. It's all about finding a balance, so you don't end up having to make three or four different meals. Wanna know my secret? Keep it simple. Vary the protein each day and make sure to pair each meal with a side or two that your family already loves.

Here’s how I made a quick and easy meal for my family of four, using Barber Foods® Stuffed Chicken Breasts.

First, I picked up a Barber Foods Raw Stuffed Chicken Breast, Cordon Bleu, during my visit to Publix. To accompany the chicken I also picked up two easy sides, jasmine rice, and a spring mix salad. Once I arrived home, I set the oven for my Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breast and started on my sides.

One of my favorite features is that each chicken breast comes individually packaged and is the perfect portion for an adult, plus they are easy to slice for kids.

Here’s an example of an adult plate vs a kids plate, that you can make at home. Our girls absolutely loved their plates and it made a big difference when I cut the stuffed chicken breasts into cubes. It was easy for them to eat and they could already see the stuffing inside so it wasn't a surprise to them when they bit in.

In less than half the time it would take me to prepare dinner, I paired Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breasts with my family's favorite sides and they loved it! Fun Tip: When introducing a new meal to your family, let the kids help you make it. Sofia had never tried stuffed chicken breasts before, but because she helped me prepare it from beginning to end, she was actually excited about trying it at the dinner table.

If you’re looking for dinner made easy, for a family of four, during a busy work week, this is it! See below for our easy recipe.

Our Dinner Recipe:

6ct pack of Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breast Cordon Bleu

One pack of Publix Spring Mix Salad

One bottle of Publix Ranch Dressing

Side fruit for kids, we choose bananas

Two cups of Publix Jasmine Rice

Plus, I also had leftovers. Since the girls both started school this year, I will have to get smart about how I prep meals for lunch, as well as dinner. Thankfully Barber Foods has me covered!

I upgraded to their 6ct original stuffed chicken breast when I stopped at Publix this week and didn't have to worry about what my husband would have for lunch the following day. I paired it with leftover sides and now he has a meal ready for him to take to work.

If you’re shopping for the week ahead, enjoy an extra savings offer of $9.99 for a 6ct Barber Foods Stuffed Chicken Breasts from 8/14-8/27 and make meal planning easy. Plus, they have a variety of options to choose from including chicken parmesan, broccoli and cheese, and creme brie and apple!

We hope this helps you as you start the busy school year and we can’t wait to see the delicious meals you make. Make sure to tag us @bambinadiaries. Happy shopping!
